One adjusting screw moves synchronized and symmetrically both insert slides either when opening or closing. So the required diameter is quickly and easily reached since insert slides do not require individual adjustment.

Safety-set assembly designed to prevent mechanism damage or breakage if the adjusting screw is forced while having boring head locked or in its boring range limits.

All cartridges also have their own radial adjusting screw for individual setting of them over the boring head's slide block.

Change to different insert style or cutting approach angle by simply exchanging the cartridges.

Large diameter boring heads (sizes 300, 400 and 500) also have a high precision adjustment through a graduated dial featuring 0.002 mm readout precision on diameter.
